Carmen Rios / Editor & Blogger

Carmen Rios is a student, activist, and part-time hipster located in Washington, DC, where she is studying Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality Studies and Public Communication full-time at the American University. She has worked for the Feminist Majority Foundation, the Domestic Violence Resource Project, the AU Women & Politics Institute, and the Institute for Women’s Policy Research. She is currently the Program Coordinator for the DC chapter of the National Organization for Women and the Director of the Sex Education Department for Women’s Initiative at AU. She consults Hollaback! on social media and sits on the national NOW Technology Empowerment Committee.

Carmen has appeared on the CBS Early Show and CBS radio and has been interviewed for the Campus Progress newsletter and multiple feminist blogs. She publishes The Activista.
